How To Identify Silicone Implant Rupture

Nowadays, women have become very conscious about their bodies and of which the concept of silicone implants has gained enormous amounts of popularity. Silicone implants are basically silicone gel-filled breast implants which possess the ability to feel human fat. The majority of women prefer silicone breast implants as they almost feel and look like natural breasts.

Although the idea of getting silicone breast implants might sound good, it has its own set of disadvantages. Many women who have invested in getting silicone breast implants have reported suffering from silicone ruptures which have caused them many problems. Few women have reported that they have suffered from silent silicone rupture, because of which it has become almost mandatory to be aware of the silicone implant rupture signs.

Although some people might argue that it does not lead to anything serious like causing breast cancer or any reproductive problem, many plastic surgeons have confessed that it indeed is a headache. Silicone implant rupture signs include increasing and consistent breast pain, changes in breast shapes, firmness, swelling etc. If a woman experiences a rupture in their implants, she will immediately be aware of it as the gel will start leaking from the silicone shell of the implant. Within two to three days, the breast size will noticeably start changing.

Additionally, it may cause consistent breast pain. Some women have also reported suffering from small bumps in the affected breasts. So from this, it can be concluded that if you think your implant may have ruptured, you should immediately dial the number of your plastic surgeon.
